The labia majora constitute the visible part of the vulva and function as a protection for sensitive areas. They are composed of eccrine glands and fat tissue.
Labia majora often lose their volume with time, thereby also losing their protective function. A simple labia majora augmentation can restore their original state and function.
The technique used is called micro fat autograft, as it utilizes small tools and small quantities of fat tissue. Fat is removed from an area where it is available, preferably in excess, like for example in the abdomen, and is then delicately transferred to the labia majora through tiny openings.
This procedure is usually performed at the medical office, equipped with an operating room, under local anesthesia. Once the two zones involved are anesthetized, fat tissue is removed and purified before it is reinjected into the least sensitive area of the labia majora. The small openings are then closed with surgical glue. No dressing is needed.
Swelling may last up to a month, but no pains or complications are involved. You will not need to take time off of work and you can resume physical and sexual activities after two to three weeks.
