Mini facelift
Your face is not deeply marked but you notice sagging of the cheeks and a break in the jawline contours ? The mini facelift is the most appropriate treatment to consider. General information
The mini facelift was developed to correct the early signs of skin laxity without resorting to major surgery. Designed as a gentler alternative to the classic or deep plane facelit, it primarily targets the jawline and lower cheeks. Thanks to smaller incisions and faster recovery it is increasingly popular among patients from their forties onward.
Indications
This technique is ideal for treating loss of jawline definition and early neck laxity. Consultation is a key step to determine together whether this procedure will fully meet your expectations. Depending on skin quality and facial structure other techniques may be more appropriate such as a deep plane facelift or a platysmal corset.
The mini facelift is particularly suited to patients seeking a discreet rejuvenation. It is ideal for those who do not yet have significant skin laxity but wish to anticipate the effects of aging. Combined with other procedures such as blepharoplasty it allows for global facial rejuvenation.

Technique
Through small incisions made within the hairline and the natural contours of the ears I locate the edges of the relaxed tissues and secure them in their natural position. The jowl and the edge of the platysma are fixed higher which tightens the lower face tissues without pulling on the skin.
This minimally invasive technique allows repositioning of all tissues and skin while minimizing postoperative effects. Incisions are carefully concealed within the natural facial contours for an optimal aesthetic result. The mini facelift can be combined with other procedures such as lipofilling or eyelid surgery for a harmonious overall rejuvenation.
Each step is performed under strict visual control with constant attention to detail to preserve anatomical structures and ensure maximum safety.
Procedure
The procedure lasts approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes followed by at least 6 additional hours of postoperative monitoring at the clinic. The anesthesiologist administers a relaxing medication and I perform local anesthesia while you are lying on your back. I then begin the procedure while speaking with you. You may feel touch but no pain.
For even more comfort you can choose general anesthesia which allows you to fall asleep during the procedure.
Each side of the face is treated symmetrically. At the end of the procedure you may feel a slight pulling sensation from the sutures without pain.
The mini facelift is a quick and comfortable procedure with a short hospital stay. You may return home the same day accompanied by a relative.
Postoperative care
Postoperative recovery is generally simple and only mildly uncomfortable. Expect 6 to 10 days of discomfort and social downtime. Driving should be avoided for two days and sleeping on your back is recommended for one week.
Swelling is greatest the day after surgery but remains very tolerable. Bruising of the cheeks or neck may occasionally occur.
Regular postoperative follow up is arranged to ensure proper healing and optimal results.
Results
Results are immediate. As swelling subsides the jawline becomes clearly defined again. The result is considered final after two months. Small scars may remain red for a few additional months but are easy to conceal.
The mini facelift delivers a natural and long lasting result giving the face a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Patients particularly appreciate the discreet nature of this procedure which enhances features without altering them.
