Body contouring surgery
In the eyes of others, silhouette is first and foremost about presence : standing upright, moving with ease, choosing well fitted clothing. Sometimes, however, it becomes impossible to choose clothes because “ nothing looks right ”. One then withdraws, hides in a way, and loses much of the pleasure of social interaction and being with others. At other times, it is a small flaw, like a pebble in a shoe, invisible to others but deeply bothersome, that one wishes to eliminate. Surgery can then represent an ideal solution. Follow the guide.

Indications for body contouring surgery
The word silhouette appeared at the beginning of the 19th century, at the same time as full length mirrors became popular and quick, efficient line drawing developed ( ref° G Vigarello ). Different silhouettes were defined, each corresponding to very specific character traits.
Body contouring surgery is mainly based on liposuction and lipostructure, techniques that allow the harmonious redistribution of subcutaneous body fat.
For optimal results, it is often best to combine it with exercise and appropriate postural work. Nutritional coaching may also be necessary. After ensuring that you are in good general health, I will propose a treatment plan that may sometimes include abdominal or breast surgery.

Overview of procedures
Body contouring surgery makes it possible to correct fat excess, redefine volumes or tighten the skin when necessary. Each procedure is tailored to the patient’s morphology and expectations, with the goal of achieving a natural and harmonious result. Below is an overview of the techniques I offer.
Procedures based on liposuction
Liposuction is a reference technique for removing localized fat deposits and improving body contours. It refines areas resistant to diet and exercise :
- Abdominal, waist and love handle liposuction : removes excess abdominal fat, refines the waist and restores a more sculpted trunk profile. Ideal for treating stubborn bulges and reshaping a more harmonious silhouette.
- Thigh, knee and ankle liposuction : slims and harmonizes the legs by removing localized fat deposits on the inner or outer thighs, around the knees or ankles, visually lengthening the legs.
- Arm liposuction and the area between the armpit and the breast : reduces arm volume and treats persistent fat under the armpit, often responsible for visible bulges with certain clothing.
Procedures based on lipostructure
Lipostructure, or lipofilling, consists of reinjecting the patient’s own fat to naturally and durably reshape certain areas of the body. This technique provides a soft, natural result and improves skin quality thanks to the presence of stem cells in the fat :
- Buttock lipostructure : increases volume, improves projection and reshapes the buttocks without implants.
- Calf lipostructure : adds contour and corrects calves considered too thin, restoring balanced leg proportions.
- Abdominal and pectoral lipostructure : reshaping muscle contours by injecting fat in a targeted manner.
- Breast lipostructure : increasing breast volume using the patient’s own fat, without implants.
Procedures based on skin tightening
When the skin has lost tone, certain procedures allow it to be tightened in order to regain a firmer, better defined silhouette :
- Abdominoplasty or abdominal lift : reduces excess skin and fat in the abdominal area and may be combined with muscle repair ( rectus diastasis ) in cases of abdominal wall laxity, commonly seen after pregnancy.
- Thigh lift : ideal for firmer, better contoured thighs, correcting skin laxity of the inner thighs.
- Brachioplasty or arm lift : tightens the skin of the arms and improves their appearance in cases of significant sagging.
Procedures after major weight loss : bariatric surgery
Massive weight loss can lead to significant excess skin, which may require surgical correction to restore a harmonious silhouette :
- Body lift : treats excess skin of the abdomen, hips, buttocks and thighs in a single procedure, reshaping the entire lower body after major weight loss.
- Wing plasty : specifically designed to reduce skin laxity of the back and upper arms.
Each procedure is preceded by a thorough consultation to identify the solution best suited to your needs. The objective is to guarantee a result that is both natural and fully consistent with your silhouette.
