Although round, voluminous buttocks have always been a beauty standard in certain countries, it is only starting to become popular in Europe. It is a great advantage to be able to turn flat buttocks into perfectly round ones using fat transfer or implants.
Fat transfer for buttocks augmentation consists of harmonizing the middle part of the body (waist and hips) by removing fat tissue from one part and transferring it to another after it has been purified. For example, removing fat from the abdomen and transferring it to the buttocks. This is a meticulous intervention that requires perfect technique and that gives very satisfying results when done properly.
It is important for the patient who desires a fat transfer to have enough excess fat in certain areas of the body, like around the waist, in the thighs or even knees. This procedure is not adapted for someone with very little body fat.
In fat removals preceding a graft, it is important to keep fat cells alive, and therefore utilize only soft liposuction. It is also important to avoid vascular zones when the purified fat tissue is inserted by the muscles and under the skin to avoid risks of fat embolism, which is why this procedure is especially meticulous.
The operation is done under general anesthesia at the clinic and requires you to stay overnight to prevent postoperative thrombosis.
I remove the fat from the zones outlined before the operation. Fat cells are extracted from the tissue and grafted in small sections through tiny rods by the gluteus maximus muscle and the inner skin. Once the shape desired is achieved, about 30 percent of the volume is added, to make up for the expected loss of grafts. The entry points are then closed with surgical glue and the compression garment is placed before you wake up.
It is important to avoid any pressure on the top of your buttocks for at least a week. You will therefore need to sleep on your stomach for a week. You will have to wear the compression garment day and night for a week, and then only during the day for another two weeks. Although the pains are bearable and easily treatable with painkillers, it is recommended to plan a week of rest because the entire process is tiring.
The swelling and bruises make it difficult to visualize the results for the first two months. After that, not only will your buttocks be perfectly round and voluminous, but their skin will also be much smoother.
Although this procedure is extremely effective, it is still recommended to maintain physical activity and keep your buttocks toned as they naturally tend to get smaller with time.
