Facelift
To restore the oval of the face, a customized facelift remains the most effective solution for a natural and long lasting result, in both women and men. Creams, thread lifts or massages do not restore tissue positioning: only a surgical procedure allows for a lasting and customized result.
Thanks to anti-aging treatments and the use of hyaluronic acid and botulinum toxin, the age of the first facelift has been pushed back. However, some people will need one around the age of 40, while others will wait until they are 65 to 70 to realize the benefits and opt for this procedure for their personal comfort.

Summary
General information
The term facelift has been used for more than a hundred years to describe surgical facial rejuvenation. It literally means lifting raising the facial tissues that have descended over time creating jowls and the so called turkey neck. Whether small, medium or large, combined with other techniques or procedures, a facelift currently remains the only way to truly improve the oval shape of a face that has become stretched over the years. This is why rejuvenating creams and non surgical procedures often misuse the word facelift.
A successful facelift relies on excellent surgical technique, attention to detail, and respect for harmony.
A well performed facelift is one that goes unnoticed. The procedure is carefully planned then executed to correct what bothers you most for example a deeply wrinkled neck while harmonizing the rest of the face in line with who you are and how others perceive you. When comparing before and after photos improvements are clear yet without a reference photo no one can tell what you have done to remain looking so youthful.
Results
The results are immediately visible on the neck and jowls. However, swelling and bruising make it difficult to appreciate the final result, and it will take several weeks to be truly satisfied. The skin in the neck and in front of the ears may also take several weeks to regain sensitivity.
Thanks to precise and controlled expertise results are durable natural and stable for around ten years.
Indications
If day after day when looking in the mirror or in photographs your face displeases you the first step is to clearly identify what no longer feels right. When the issue is loss of definition in the lower face it is preferable to consider a simple surgical solution rather than relying on disappointing techniques often associated with complications.

Technique
From simple skin excision to more advanced techniques like deep plane facelifts, which address all facial tissues, procedures are tailored to your anatomy and your specific needs. One or more consultations are necessary to define the best treatment plan and ensure a result that meets your expectations.
Most often the technique involves incisions hidden around the ear contours and within the hairline. This allows access to underlying tissues which are repositioned under direct visual control. Visual control is essential to avoid damaging the many nerves and vessels of the face. Depending on the case tissues may be folded or repositioned. Muscles are generally not altered except in the neck area. Facial volumes that have changed over time are also addressed using autologous fat grafting also known as lipostructure to harmonize volumes and restore radiance as well as liposuction for areas such as the double chin.
