Fees for aesthetic and plastic surgery in Geneva

Our practice is centered on people. Establishing a diagnosis or a quotation by email or by phone does not align with our values in terms of quality and professionalism.

It is essential that Dr Prevot meets patients for an initial consultation before proposing a personalized quotation, as each person and each treatment are different.

Prices for pediatric surgery

Pediatric surgery is a branch of surgery that requires special care and dedicated expertise. Nevi, although often benign, may sometimes present an aesthetic concern or, in rare cases, a risk of malignancy requiring removal.

Otoplasty, or correction of prominent ears, is also a common procedure in children. It involves reshaping the ear cartilage to create a more natural appearance and reduce ear protrusion. These procedures, although they may appear simple, require great attention to detail and a thorough understanding of growth and development to ensure optimal results and avoid future complications.

Are aesthetic medicine and surgery procedures covered?

In Switzerland, aesthetic surgery procedures are generally not covered by health insurance. These procedures, performed primarily for aesthetic rather than medical reasons, are considered comfort treatments and are therefore at the patient’s expense.

However, exceptions exist when aesthetic surgery is recognized as having a reconstructive or functional purpose. For example, rhinoplasty following nasal trauma or breast reduction to relieve back pain caused by breast hypertrophy. In such cases, partial or full coverage by health insurance may be possible, usually subject to prior approval by the medical advisor of the insurance provider. For further details, it is recommended to consult Dr Prevot in Geneva, who can provide precise information based on your individual situation.

A remote consultation is possible if you are unable to travel.
