There are three major reasons why women would benefit from a labiaplasty:<\/p>\n

  • If the labia minora are so long that they hang outside of the labia majora and cause discomfort when wearing tight clothes or underwear.<\/li>\n
  • If there is asymmetry between the two sides of the labia.<\/li>\n
  • If the patient experiences pain during sexual relations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The method consists of removing excess skin to achieve labia that are at least 15mm long, symmetrical, and have a smooth, continuous edge.
