Malar bag treatment is most often performed in combination with either lower eyelid surgery, a facelift, a mid-facial facelift or a global face rejuvenation. Technique<\/h2>\n

The procedure consists of simply removing the entirety of the malar bag, leaving a tiny, almost invisible scar. Procedure<\/h2>\n

A consultation is always necessary to determine the best treatment for each patient and go over the therapeutic options. On the day of the operation, the area that has to be removed is outlined with a pen directly on the skin. The procedure is done under a local anesthetic. When the malar bag is removed, a small portion of underlying tissues responsible for the swollen aspect is also removed. Very thin thread is used to close the incisions, which are then covered with thin sticking strips for a few days.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”After the operation” tab_id=”after”][vc_column_text el_class=”title title__md title__text-transform-inherit link__secondary” el_id=”after”]<\/p>\n
